ANo back support, just light weight nylon material. It probably wouldn't be too comfortable if it was filled with hard bulky items. But I bike two and a half hours a day with my work clothes plus shoes and some other things inside and I don’t feel the backpack.
AI think so. If you get stuck out in a downpour, I'm afraid your stuff would get wet. We had it in the rain and our belongings didn't get soaked in it. Some water got in but not much.
AThe soft shoulder straps are thick and wide. I carried it with heavy load and I didn’t feel uncomfortable on my shoulders but it would be better if you put some soft items near the back.
